This is a digital scale that can be used for the kitchen. It will be able to measure up to 12 pounds. It is a black tempered glass and nice and smooth. It is said that the material they used for this is four times stronger and safer to use. There is a high precision gfx sensors on this digital scale to give you a accurate weight. I can weigh from .05 oz to 12 pounds. That is great for the lightest  ingredients to the heavier ones. I will measure in grams also. The battery section is easy to get to with no screw driver.  You will feel comfortable with this scale. Let's say you are trying to watch what you are eating more carefully. With this scale measure out what you want to eat and it will give you accurate number. If you are wanting to loose weight why not get this to help with that. At least you know what you are measuring is right.
